DEERFIELD BEACH, FL: People’s Trust Insurance is excited to announce that CEO George W. Schaeffer held his annual Employee Scholarship & Laptop Giveaway Program event this morning. During the event, Schaeffer generously gifted 11 laptops, mice, and printers to the children of People’s Trust Insurance employees.
This giveaway is part of the company’s commitment to supporting the educational aspirations of employees’ families. The initiative alternates yearly between laptop giveaways and school scholarships, ensuring that employees’ children have the necessary tools for success in today’s digital age. For the 2025/2026 school year, the scholarship program will provide eligible students up to $1,800 per school year, up from $1,000 in previous years.
The program was open to full-time employees with at least one year of service with children aged 9 to 22. Each child was required to submit a short essay on “Why I need a computer,” maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and provide official school transcripts.
George W. Schaeffer, known for his leadership and philanthropic efforts, expressed his enthusiasm for the program: “It’s incredibly rewarding to support the education of our employees’ children and provide them with the resources they need to thrive academically.” Schaeffer has a long history of supporting the educational needs of employees’ families. This tradition began over four decades ago with the employees of the company he founded, OPI Products.
