Schaeffer, has been recognized as the Business Leader of the Year by Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business. The prestigious award was presented at the 30th annual “Business Leader of the Year” breakfast held at the Boca West Country Club on Tuesday, May 21.
George W. Schaeffer is renowned for his entrepreneurial spirit and remarkable business achievements. He founded OPI Products in 1981, and he transformed the beauty care company into a global market leader.
Following the success of OPI, Schaeffer ventured into the professional hair care industry by acquiring the renowned brand Aloxxi. His leadership and strategic vision have also led him to assume the role of President and CEO of People’s Trust Insurance, an innovative Florida-based homeowners insurance company headquartered in the Research Park at Florida Atlantic in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Born in Hungary to Holocaust survivors, Schaeffer immigrated to the United States in 1956. He has been a pillar of the business community, demonstrating resilience, determination, and a commitment to excellence throughout his career.
